NHMF announces 2027 maintenance awards and conference

The National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) has announced plans for its 2027 Awards and Conference, with the event set to focus on ‘Raising Standards Together’ across housing maintenance and asset management.

The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Stratford-upon-Avon on 20 and 21 January 2027, combining the NHMF Best Practice Awards with a one-day conference.

NHMF’s annual awards will be held on the evening of 20 January, followed by the conference on 21 January.

Neil Watts, Interim Chair of the NHMF, said the revised format was intended to provide housing providers with a more accessible event amid rising pressures on maintenance services and resources.

“The annual NHMF Maintenance Conference is a popular event amongst the social housing maintenance community. But, with everyone under increasing pressure from rising challenges and restricted resources, we wanted to ensure the event was valuable and accessible for all.

“That’s why the 2027 event has been condensed to a one day conference that is free for housing providers to attend. The popular awards will take place on the evening of 20th January, followed by the conference on 21st.

“The streamlined format will help delegates make the most of their time, combining practical insight, best practice, innovation and networking in a concentrated programme, as well as still having the opportunity to celebrate all the great work that’s being done to help improve the sector and our resident’s homes.

“Plans are coming together for the event, and the awards are open to enter now.”

Housing maintenance awards to recognise best practice

The NHMF Best Practice Awards will recognise work across housing maintenance and asset management, including projects involving building safety, sustainability, customer engagement, social value, digital solutions and workforce development.

The awards will recognise organisations, partnerships, projects and individuals delivering measurable improvements for residents, communities and housing organisations.

Watts said: “The NHMF Best Practice Awards are all about celebrating the organisations, partnerships, projects and individuals that are raising standards across housing maintenance and asset management.

“From innovative products and digital solutions to building safety, sustainability, customer engagement, social value and people development, the awards recognise those delivering measurable benefits for residents, communities and organisations.

“Whether you have led a transformative project, developed a groundbreaking solution, built an exceptional partnership, championed inclusion, or inspired future talent, this is your opportunity to showcase your achievements.

“Judges will be looking for innovation, collaboration, value for money, resident benefit and lasting impact, alongside ideas and approaches that can help drive improvement across the wider housing sector.
