Effective BNG strategies for small site developers: webinar hosted tomorrow

Tomorrow Crosby Associates will host a webinar discussing the latest Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) regulations, aimed at SME developers.

Hosted in partnership with Environment Bank and the NFB, the webinar will discuss how BNG will affect the SME planning process, what are the long-term legal requirements and much more, offering guidance for developers following the new rules. To host the webinar there is a plethora of talented speakers, all who bring their own knowledge and expertise on the topic, including:

Alexa Culver- General counsel:

As a lawyer with over 12 years’ experience working on land, planning and environmental projects, Alexa ensures that all legal aspects of our Habitat Bank model are robust, and legal transactions and developers’ planning applications progress smoothly and efficiently. Alexa is a Member of the College of Experts for the Office of Environmental Protection and recognised as one of the most impactful environmental lawyers in 2023 in the ENDS Report Power List.

Michael Parinchy- Senior Construction Manager at Probuild360 and the Chairman of the House Builders Association:

Michael is representing SME housebuilders and asking questions on their behalf, as well as being there to learn too.  Area’s Michael is hoping to explore: how much BNG is going to cost us, how we can maintain commercial viability of developments and minimise the impact of BNG on profitability, as well as understanding the policy and its’ administration better in an effort to be able to advocate for our projects with confidence.

Sean Rooney- Principle Planner (RTPI):

Sean is chartered Planner, with a broad background facilitating developments ranging from Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs), to remediation schemes, nuclear/renewable energy, mixed-use, commercial, leisure, industrial and residential developments.  As Principal Planner at Environment Bank, Sean’s role includes assisting developers in meeting mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements using offsite biodiversity units.

Rico Wojtulewicz- Head of Policy & Market insight (NFB):

Rico can provide unique insight into the effects these regulations will have on housebuilders and how developers can best navigate these incoming changes, and will touch on:
