ASCP 24 announces Platform as finalist in multiple categories

A social landlord has been shortlisted in a prestigious awards scheme which recognises excellence in safety and compliance.
ASCP 2023 Awards Winners

Platform Housing Group has been announced as finalists in the following categories in the ASCP 2024 awards:

·         Safety Leadership Award (three separate entries);

·         Safety and Compliance Training and Development Award;

·         Electrical Contractor of the Year Award;

·         Heating Contractor of the Year Award;

·         Partnership & Collaboration of the Year Award;

·         Customer Service Excellence Award.

The winners will be unveiled at the ASCP Conference and Exhibition which will take place on 11 – 12 June at The Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport, South Wales.

The entries focused on a number of initiatives and successes:

Safety Leadership Award – the first entry outlined the launch of the Building Safety Change Programme which included establishing a dedicated Building Safety team and ensuring robust inspection, maintenance and reporting mechanisms are in place for all areas of building safety, helping to instil building safety into the company’s organisational culture and ensuring it is in a stronger position to deal with future legislation and regulatory change; the second entry focused on the creation of an independent Qualifying Supervisor team, which has led to processing 5000 electrical certifications, carrying out more than 180 on site inspections to monitor the performance of its 60 electricians, completing 300 work in progress inspections and more than 400 post work inspections; the third entry celebrated the enrolment of the entire management team and the heating team on specific training courses, elevating their expertise;

Safety and Compliance Training and Development Award – the entry expanded on the Heating Services Teams investment in staff, collaborative training initiatives, a commitment to safety and compliance and a dedication to building a workforce that consistently delivers exceptional services;

Electrical Contractor of the Year Award – the entry focused on the increase of EICR compliance from 83 per cent to 94 per cent on a seven year cycle, achieved with an average of 40 per cent no access to homes.  The EICR team also maintained 100 per cent compliance in all communal areas.  Since March 2023, the team has also achieved a pass on all 87 external audits of EICR work as well as an increase in compliance in one particular geographical area in which it works from 83 per cent to 94 per cent;

Heating Contractor of the Year Award – the entry focused on the 100 per cent gas servicing compliance across almost 34,500 gas properties, the first time this has been achieved in more than 4 years. As well as the stellar customer satisfaction rates, and substantial safety investments;

Partnership & Collaboration of the Year Award – the entry celebrated the 100 per cent gas compliance across Rooftop Housing Group’s 4,572 gas properties; this collaboration not only achieved compliance but also built a lasting partnership based on mutual respect, trust and shared values.  The synergy has elevated  performance and set new standards on what can be achieved through effective collaboration;

Customer Service Excellence Award – the entry included details of the ‘Keeping you and your home safe’ website pages; the use of PowerBI, utilising data, sharing insights and transforming services as well as customer satisfaction surveys, up from 92 per cent to 97 per cent.
